The 2nd European Resources Forum on November 10th-11th, 2014 in Berlin, Germany 17 Aug

Ladies and Gentlemen,

After the success of the 1st European Resources Forum in 2012 with 440 participants from over 40 countries, the German Federal Environment Agency is hosting the 2nd European Resources Forum on November 10th-11th, 2014 in Berlin, Germany. ( www.resourcesforum.eu)

The Ecologic Institute supports the German Federal Environment Agency in the organisation of the Forum.

The aim of the European Resources Forum (ERF) is to provide a European platform for discussing issues of sustainable resource use by focusing on the political and scientific debate of the subject. It seeks to contribute to the development and implementation of common positions for policymaking in Europe and internationally. The ERF is an important instrument for the communication of resource issues, as well as for setting up networks and initiating stakeholder alliances at the European and international level (www.resourcesforum.eu).

The ERF addresses both European and international decision-makers and experts from the fields of policy development, industry, academia, civil society, and the media, especially the younger generation.

For a limited number of interested persons from selected European countries, the Caucasus, and Central Asia Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia the former Yugoslav Republic, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) the German Government will grant support for flight/train (economy class only) and accommodation (for up to three nights in a hotel/single room at a maximum of € 80/night). The flight/train costs are granted as follows: Kyrgyzstan (KG): 600 €

Applicants should expect a response by the second half of September. If your application is successful, please note that purchasing flight/travel tickets and booking/paying accommodation is the responsibility of the participant. After the conference, successful applicants will receive reimbursement for expenses according to the aforementioned rate by submitting a reimbursement form and supporting documents (invoices, tickets, boarding passes, etc.).
