    Kara-Balta Technological Institute was created in 2000 as a Technical Faculty of KSTU named after I.Razzakov. In 2010 it was transformed into the Technological
    Institute.

    KARA-BALTA TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE (KTI)

    KTI was organized to expand the network of educational services in the western region of Chui Valley and surroun- ding areas of Kazakhstan, as well as pro- viding youth with opportunities to receive higher education. Kara-Balta is an industrial center, with operating industrial enterprises with the need in the specialists with corresponding specializations. Industrial giants as the Kara-Balta Mining Combinat (KMP), Carpet Combinat, Sugar Factory, Alcohol plant, Flour mill, Brewery, JSC \”Dessert\”, Bread factory, etc operate in Kara-Balta.

    In this regard, the Institute trains specialists in engineering and technical fields, which are the priority for this region.

    Thirty instructors work in the Institute and thirteen of them are Candidates of the sciences.

    Today, about 1,500 students study at the Institute. KTI has two academic buildings with total area of 12348, 5 sq.m. There is an equipped sport hall, and winter swimming pool.

    228 specialists and bachelors were graduated from the Institute in 2011-2012. 74% of them are employed.
